Synthetic Silica is an ultra-fine particle, hydrated and amorphous silicon dioxide. The primary uses of synthetic silica is functional filler.

Special grade silica is widely used as matting agent in paint and ink industries. In various plastic film, silica is uses as anti-blocking agent.

Some grades are surface treated to produce hydro-phobic silica, which exhibit good water-repellent properties and better compatibility with various organic media.
